Chimneys

House Muschamp  must have had two chimneys, though both chimneys were  removed shortly after the February 2011 earthquake due to safety - referring to a building inspection report which was issued in the sellers documentation (Thermal Vision, Oktober 2010)
I haven't seen  house Muschamp only without themA note in a summary of a , refers to the chimneys as being damaged and recommends that the chimneys require restoring due to the heritage value.

I have been wondering what the chimneys might have looked like.
However nobody seemed to have a photo of house Muschamp showing the chimneys and no drawings or photos were available at the Christchurch Archives.
At the end I approached Thermal Vision and Chris Westeneng (The BIC / Thermal Vision) was so kind to sent me their building inspection report(s) regarding #19 Forth Street. The reports show some images of the chimneys.

The chimneys look spectacular and instantly I can't image the house without them.
I think the chimneys enhance the proportions of the house.
I will plan on reinstating the chimneys.

At the time of deconstruction, while cleaning out the garden, I found some bits and pieces of Oamaru stone I couldn't place.
Now I realized that sone of these pieces came from the removed chimneys.
At my next visit to Christchurch I visited empty site, dug up the stones and took the measurements for reference.
