Interior Joinery - 15 January / 30 January 2016
Skirtings and Architraves were taken out room by room.
With steel blades I tried to gently wiggle space to cut the nails with a small hand saw.
Every removed item was numbered.
The interior doors and cupboard joinery were taken out as I went.
The old timbers were dry and tended to split if not worked carefully.
I proceeded with the architraves and sills around the exterior doors and windows while James took out the original front door frame.
The de-nailing and the preparation for storage appeared to be more time consuming than anticipated.
The Kitchen cupboard unit and the Bathroom wall were kept as one element but were too big to be taken out of the house at this early stage.
