06 Life during deconstruction

In the first weeks I managed to find a rhythm in living on site, working a full-time job and deconstructing a house at the same time.
It was full on though; I worked hard and there was no time for distraction.

At the end of every day I cleaned the work place before I sat down for a beer or glass of wine.

A clean place to work is a safe place to work and I could not affort to get injured.
The "beer" time at the end of every long day became the time to review what I was doing and I also started thinking through the next stage of the deconstruction.
To know what I was doing and enjoying the work enabled me to keep going.
The trick appeared to be to just keep going and not to worry if the work doesn't seem to progress.

While working on the one stage of the deconstruction, by playing and experimentating for the stage to come, I prepared for the next stage in the process.
Tools required I bought second hand at the Ferry Road Pawnshop where tool specialist Mark always gave me a bargain.
