15 Planning
From time to time the new owner of the property walked in and updated me on the progress he was making with his redevelopment plans for the section.
Part of our deal is that delays at his end are an extension to my time allowed for the deconstruction.
The initial 3 months deconstruction time agreed upon got extended regularly and I actually never had to worry about finishing on time.
I could well use some extra time and I used the opportunity to take out more construction materials than initially anticipated (refer to the 5 components, see article 2)
The Kitchen, Bedroom 2 and Dining cupboards and the chimney bricks were taken down and put in storage and plan was to deconstruct and reuse the timber roof / ceiling structure, the Oamaru stone interior walls and the fire places as well.
Stone Mason Pete Dunns had been involved with the deconstruction of house Muschamp from the beginning.
Pete walked in from time to time and we always vividly discussed the project as it progressed. Pete had offered to give me a head start with the Oamaru facades of House Muschamp.
In liaison with Pete it was decided to start the deconstruction of the Oamaru stone facades at the Friday before Easter.
In order to be able to start the work on the Oamaru stone facades the timber roof / ceiling structure, the Entry Lobby had to be deconstructed and scaffolding needed to be built up.
